By 2015, the sales revenue of China's smart equipment manufacturing industry will exceed 1 trillion yuan with an average annual growth rate of more than 25% and 35% of an industrial added value rate. The domestic market share of localized intelligent manufacturing equipment will exceed 30%, striving to form a complete intelligent manufacturing equipment industry system by 2020.

　　As a sub-plan of the Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan for High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry, the Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan for Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Industry was officially released recently. In an interview, Zhang Xiangmu, Director of the Equipment Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, made an authoritative interpretation of the background of the Gui Hua and its development focus of smart equipment.

     For the first time, Gui Hua put forward the concept of intelligent manufacturing equipment, that is, "the collective name for all kinds of manufacturing equipment with sensing, decision-making and execution functions." It is an important part of then "high-end equipment" of strategic emerging industries. Can you combine the current development status of China's smart equipment, and introduce the background of the preparation of the Gui Hua.

Equipment Division: with the rapid development of information technology and advanced manufacturing technology, the development depth and breadth of China's intelligent manufacturing equipment is increasing day by day. The intelligent manufacturing equipment industry system represented by new sensors, intelligent control systems, industrial robots and automated complete production lines is preliminary formed. A number of major intelligent manufacturing equipment with independent intellectual property rights achieved breakthroughs. However, as an emerging industry that is cultivating and growing, China's intelligent manufacturing equipment industry still has problems such as weak technological innovation capability, small industrial scale, weak foundation, and lack of internationally competitive backbone enterprises.

　　Intelligent manufacturing equipment is one of the key development directions of the strategic high-end equipment manufacturing industry identified by the State Council. The Decision of the State Council on Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of Strategic Emerging Industries clearly states that "the basic supporting capacity will be strengthened and the intelligent manufacturing equipment centered on digitalization, flexibility and system integration technology will be actively developed."

　　On the development trend of the future manufacturing industry, it is of great significance that we should vigorously cultivate and develop the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, improve production efficiency, technology level and product quality, reduce energy and resource consumption, and realize the transformation from "Made in China" to "Created in China"

　　During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, in addition to the above-mentioned major intelligent manufacturing equipments, the development of China's intelligent manufacturing equipment industry also includes key intelligent basic common technologies, core intelligent measurement and control devices and components, and demonstration and promotion of key applications.

      In the key intelligent basic common technology, focusing on the realization of intelligent functions such as perception, decision-making and execution, we will develop nine key intelligent basic common technologies like new sensing technology and modular embedded control system design technology.

      In the core intelligent measurement and control devices and components, we should develop new sensors and their systems, intelligent control systems and other eight typical intelligent measurement and control devices and components  around the major intelligent manufacturing equipment and intelligent manufacturing technology.

      In the field of key application demonstration and promotion, we will focus on the promotion and application of six national economic key areas in power, energy conservation and environmental protection, agriculture, resource exploitation, national defense military industry and infrastructure construction.

　　In order to achieve the overall goal of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the Gui Hua proposes five major tasks of implementing innovative development projects, adjusting industrial organizational structure, highlighting brand quality construction, promoting industrial technology advancement, and optimizing industrial space layout.
