China's industrial robot industry or the development of the blowout

Nowadays, the human-oriented production model will become a robot-oriented manufacturing model in the future. Although this will reduce some traditional jobs, the new smart manufacturing model will also generate many new jobs. Industrial robots are powerful technical means to realize the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry.

Compared with foreign countries, what is the level of domestic industrial robot manufacturing?

We are not behind in terms of technical control such as precision and function. However, there are still gaps in the manufacturing process, products and brands. The key to the gap is the core components such as servo motors, high-precision gears, reducers, bearing etc, which are now generally imported. Of course, the basis of casting, processing and other processes, China has made great progress in recent years, and it is not too far away. To form an industry and create a brand, robots also need the management capabilities of modern companies. Robots are products that require "three highs" in capital, technology, and talent, and require continuous innovation.

In what direction will industrial robot technology develop in the future?

The robots will develop into intelligent robots in the future. The production of robots, robotic mechanisms are carriers, and more depends on the functional connotation. The level of robots depends on technologies such as control, software, and intelligence. Robots that are not smart are just low-end robots.

The future development of robots requires informationization and network support, and relies on the development of control technology and sensing technology. Future industrial robots will be typical IoT products. The development of technologies such as control, microelectronics, sensing, and new materials will provide the basic conditions for intelligent robots. After the development of these robot-related support technologies, robotics experts will study how to integrate innovation and let robots develop into intelligent robots.

What is the development prospect of the industrial robot industry?

The robot industry is not a general industry and has a development prospect beyond imagination. The industrial revolution turned people into slaves of machines. People serve machines on the production line, working fast and in a bad environment. But industrial robots can free humans from this state, and people can engage in more advanced work. In addition, service robots can also change our way of life.

Nowadays, the human-oriented production model will become a robot-oriented manufacturing model in the future. Although this will reduce some traditional jobs, the new smart manufacturing model will also generate many new jobs. China is now experiencing a structural shortage of labor, a shortage of migrant workers, a shortage of senior technicians, and a sharp rise in manufacturing costs. Industrial robots are powerful technical means to realize the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry. Robots can change people's future production lifestyles. It can be concluded that in the future, robots will enter every household and applications of society in the same way as mobile phones and computers.

From what aspects should China increase its efforts to seize this opportunity for great change?

In 2010, China's robot production value only accounted for one-twentieth of the global robot market. In the automotive industry where industrial robots are most concentrated, there are more than 1,700 robots per 10,000 production workers in Japan, and 1,600 in Italy, and there are fewer than 90 robots per 10,000 workers in China. Since last year, China's robot application market has begun to take shape. Last year, the global robot market grew by about 10%. China's growth rate reached 51%, and its growth rate ranked first in the world. The absolute increase is second only to Japan and South Korea, ranking third in the world. The market demand for such rapid bursts will be very obvious for industry and technology. It is expected that in the next few years, China's industrial robots are likely to be spurt development rather than simple linear growth.

China should seize this opportunity, formulate relevant policies and measures, and vigorously develop China's robot industry. At the same time , China should use robots and automation equipment to transform and upgrade its manufacturing industry, and accelerate the realization of the  industrial restructuring, optimization and upgrading.
