2016 Guangdong International Robotics and Intelligent Equipment Expo will be held on November 29th in Dongguan, Guangzhou.

　　 China Industry News reporter learned that since 2013, the “No. 1 Document” of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government has focused on the development of the real economy, providing a more relaxed environment for market participants, coming up with important strategies and supporting measures, eliminating and transforming low-end backward enterprises, introducing a large number of high-end projects of innovative institutions and strategic emerging industries, and introducing high-end links and missing links in the industrial chain and value chain. Independent research and development and branding construction have received unprecedented attention from the Dongguan manufacturing industry and the upgrading of products has also led a group of traditional foundry enterprises to move up the value chain.

　　In 2015, Dongguan handed over such a response: the total economic output exceeded 100 billion US dollars, with a growth rate of 8%; the value added of advanced manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing accounted for 47% and 36%; the traditional manufacturing industry reduced from 22.9% in 2010 to 18.8%; the growth rate of imports and exports ranked first among the top five cities in terms of total foreign trade; the number of high-tech enterprises ranked first in Guangdong prefecture-level cities, and only second to Guangshen.

　　In May 2016, the state incorporated Dongguan into 12 comprehensive pilot areas for building an open economic new system, becoming the only city in Guangdong Province.

　　In 2015, China launched the"Made in China 2025" strategy. Smart manufacturing became the key to this strategy. In Guangdong, the "Guangdong Smart Manufacturing Development Plan (2015~2025)” clearly stated that 20% is the annual average growth target of the smart equipment industry in 2017. 

　　In Dongguan, after the surge of "machine substitution", local industrial robot enterprises have emerged with the trend, and the intelligent equipment industry chain has been accelerated. The government has also issued "Dongguan Industrial Robot Intelligent Equipment Industry Development Plan" and "Strengthening Industrial Policy Support to Promote Advanced Equipment Manufacturing", etc.

　　It is against this background that Dongguan has played the exhibition brand of Zhibo Fair and set a record for the largest exhibition in one fell swoop. It is also second to none in China's similar exhibitions.

　　According to the organizing committee, this year's exhibition continued to use all the pavilions last year, and added Hall 4. The exhibition area increased by more than 10,000 square meters with the number of booths increasing to 5,550, more 363 compared with that of last year; the total number of exhibitors has also rised to 1,400, another 82 from that of last year. It is expected that the number of visitors to the Zhibo Fair will exceed 110,000 this year.
